The three cardinal rules of using passwords are: don’t pick an easily guessable password, don’t reuse the same password for all your accounts, and don’t leave your passwords unprotected. Icecream Password Manager helps with the last one by offering a safe means of storing all your passwords and all your other important information, like credit card details, bank account info, and software licenses. Icecream Password Manager stores all this information in an encrypted and password-protected database that you and only you can access.

Icecream Password Manager is compatible with Windows 10, Windows 8 or 8.1, Windows 7, Windows Vista, and Windows XP. The system requirements to run this password manager are: 1.33GHz processor or better, at least 512MB of RAM (2GB recommended for optimal performance), between 100MB and 1GB of free storage space. These requirements are so low that even an older, less powerful PC will easily meet them.

Icecream Password Manager stores all your passwords in an encrypted and password-protected vault. On first launch, you will be invited to create a new vault by entering the following details: pick a name for your vault, select a master password that will prevent unauthorized access to the vault, enter a hint in case you forget the password.

Icecream Password Manager’s interface is good looking, user friendly and easy to navigate. Once you've entered the mastered password, the interface will be revealed and you'll be able to use it and easily store passwords and other information. Go and check out the Quick Look video that accompanies this article to see how user friendly the interface really is.

Icecream Password Manager can safely store a lot of things in an encrypted and password-protected vault: passwords, credit cards, identities, software licenses, notes, driver licenses, passports, and bank accounts. Icecream Password Manager can be used by up to 10 people, it provides support for Dropbox, it automatically backs up important data on your PC, and it automatically locks the vault after a certain period of inactivity.

Icecream Password Manager is free software. Alongside the Windows application there's an Icecream Password Manager plugin for Chrome and an Icecream Password Manager add-on for Firefox.

Go get Icecream Password Manager and securely store your passwords and other sensitive information in an encrypted and password-protected vault.

Pros

The system requirements are so low that any PC will easily meet them. A simple setup wizard will help you install Icecream Password Manager. On first run, you will be asked to create your first vault. You can store passwords, credit card details, notes, and other items in your vault; said vault is encrypted and password-protected so that only you can access it. The vault will automatically lock after a certain period of inactivity. Dropbox is supported. Icecream Password Manager is free. The desktop application is accompanied by a Chrome plugin and a Firefox add-on.

Cons

Although Icecream Password Manager sets itself to automatically run at startup, the Settings menu doesn’t let you modify this setting.
